The Gift of Being ~

“Yesterday is History, Tomorrow a Mystery, Today is a Gift, That’s why it’s called the Present” ~ Alice Morse Earle ~ Of course my children and I remember Master Oogway saying it in ‘Kung Fu Panda’ which was full of positive aspects and outlooks.

I so enjoy this phrase. It is meaningful and has great value when you absorb and live by the words.

Yesterday is History ~ So true. There is nothing we can do to change the past. If we experienced anything uncomfortable, we can simply use it to clarify what we want for our future. We cannot go back, we cannot change anything. Simply let it go and allow it to be where is it, in the past.

Tomorrow a Mystery ~ We do not know what tomorrow will bring. It is wonderful to dream of it, and I do often, that is part of creating what you desire for your future. But there is no sense in worrying, being concerned or apprehensive about it, especially when you understand what you think about is creating your future.

Today is a Gift, That’s why it’s called the Present ~ It most certainly is. It is my hope that you do see it that way. If not, the fact that you desire seeing it in this way is a wonderful first step. Presence is such a magnificent thing to give to ourselves and our families. Presence of mind, presence of BEing. What we think and how we feel affects everything within our now experience and in our future. YOU have the power over your now, you have the power to direct your thoughts and your feelings at all times. You have the opportunity to give yourself the most wonderful gift ~ The Gift of Being in this moment, in this time, present and joyfully living in your now moment ~ Sit with that for just a moment. Close your eyes and breathe, purposefully, then begin your day ~
