Your Mission Statement

Companies have them but do people have them? A Mission statement is;  A sentence describing a company’s function, markets and competitive advantages; a short written statement of your business goals and philosophies. This used to allow the general public to know the basics of a company, their philosophies, something the company will adhere to. Typically, individuals do not have a mission statement.

Or do we?

You may not be aware of it but you do have your own mission statement that only you know about. It is a mantra that you repeat to yourself on a daily basis, several times a day. We form these statements throughout our lifetime, out of observations we have about ourselves and sometimes, observations others state about us we take on as our own. Most people are not aware of this repetitive statement they have going on within and because they are not aware, this statement may or may not serve them.

You have the ability to create a brand new mission statement for yourself. You do not have to go back and find out what the old one was, why you created it and who was responsible for helping to create it. You have the opportunity in this moment to compose a new statement, one that uplifts you, serves you and infuses a sense of well-being from within that it brings you into alignment with your inner being. Sit in silence or in nature, sit with the sun warming you, go to the beach, put your feel in the bay, whatever feels wonderful to you, sit down and write this new statement. Write this mantra as though you are writing to your dearest friend in the world, one who is loved unconditionally, because you are, a statement that reminds you daily of your brilliance, your magnificence as a human being.  So, what is your new mission statement?
